Life is full of beauty. Notice it. Notice the bumble bee, the small child, and the smiling faces. Smell the rain, and feel the wind. Live your life to the fullest potential, and fight for your dreams.

Surf's Up!! Wait a minute...

Montana Curl
Well... this is what I encountered when I went out to do the chores this morning.  In Malibu, CA I think this is known as a "sweet curl, dude."  Here it gets more of a "holy crap! What the hell happened??!!"
Too much snow, just the right temperature and well you see - there it is. Plasti-snow.  Well at least it is entertaining. Even if I can't shoot the tube or whatever it is that surfers do.

Here are a couple more shots for you:

The little sign says if we aren't here we are riding... horses, not waves!

Look out little Neon!

Ice Foam
Well, I guess it is just another day in Paradise.  It was supposed to rain today, but luckily it hasn't yet.  and the snow has given us a break!

Think Spring (please!!!!)

Word Post

I am kind of a little stinker... I got all excited about choosing a word of the year, even was so bold as to suggest it to Mona at Fur in the Paint and then never posted anything about it....

So my word this year, obviously, is Trust.  I am working mostly on trusting myself, trusting my intuition, listening to that little voice that is supposed to guide you to your path.  Um... it is harder than I would have thought.

My little voice seems to get drowned out by other people's needs, wants, concerns.  One practice I have read about that is supposed to help you hear your voice is to sit quietly, doing nothing.  That sounded fantastic!  So I tried it.  Doing nothing is next to impossible when you work full time, have a project on the loom, 10 sheep fleeces waiting to be processed and a ranch to take care of "on the side".  But, I was persistent, I was determined.  I found that quiet time: between 11 and 11:20 pm, after my sweet husband goes to work, when it is dark, everyone is fed and put to bed for the night.

I imagine you can guess what happened...

I fell asleep.

Not exactly what I had in mind, but I am learning to "trust" what my body tells me, like knock it off already and go to sleep.

Oh well, I am a work in progress!!
